The Medium-Heavy Truck Technology Center at PIE is a 16,000 square ft. area able to accommodate four large trucks used for skill development and post-secondary credentialing. The center was designed in collaboration with McKee Foods, Covenant Transport, and TCAT Athens. The McKee family invited a team from Bradley County to visit their Gentry Arkansas location where they provide a Medium-Heavy Truck Technology Program to their local high school and postsecondary institution.

The Medium-Heavy Truck Technology Program is offered to the students of Bradley, Polk, and Meigs Counties. The program is a TCAT program and students leave high school with postsecondary credentials.

Due to the broad scope of practice and collaborative advice from partners, the Medium-Heavy Truck Technology Program was established in lieu of the traditional Diesel Programming. The Medium-Heavy Truck Technology Program introduces students to more than diesel engines and technologies. The curriculum focuses on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing the various systems and engines of medium to large size vehicles.
