Advanced Manufacturing
Welding

Partnering with TCAT-Athens, Dual Enrollment welding instruction provides related math, blueprint theory, physical properties of metal, effects of heat shrinkage, basic joint designs, and fabrication. Practical work experience prepares the students in the safe use of welding equipment on Mild Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Training emphasizes the four basic positions of welding: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.

Mechatronics

Mechatronics is a branch of engineering that blends together the mechanical, electrical, computer, and robotics aspects of engineering to connect seemingly unrelated processes of design and production into a single, streamlined complex automated system. Mechatronics partners with Cleveland State Community College for students to earn hours. Students are able to work towards their Siemens Level 1 Certification.
